Scooter Board

Our Occupational Therapist brought what she called a "scooter board" to therapy yesterday. The idea was that AVH would lay on it and use his hands and feet to move around on the tile. Here is a short video of us getting him warmed up. It was so cute. He did pretty well moving it on his own - at least much better than the first time we tried it when he just arched his back and screamed. The white thing on his face is a huge piece of medical tape that we put on there to keep him from pulling his NG tube out. He is pulling his tube out almost daily now. Today is his 15 month birthday - I have to pause and remind myself that it is OK that he is not crawling quite yet or walking. He is starting to sign though - "more" and "ball." He claps and waves for "hi" and "bye-bye." He also gained another pound last week! PS - uploading my video wasn't working - I will keep trying.
