This amazing chair was built by a friend of ours who is a carpenter and has a daughter with Down Syndrome too. He built her a chair just like this about 20 years ago. We took AVH over to their house to have him measured so the chair would fit him just right. He actually fit perfectly in the 20 year old chair so it made it much easier to build.
It was almost too pretty to put AVH in! I had to get over it's beauty quickly because it is the ideal place for him to sit while we feed him. I constantly wipe food off of it though to preserve its beauty - we'll see how long we can keep it looking pristine. It is also a perfect place to put him to play. I guess I can look forward to gouges and scratches from toys being banged on it too.

Oh I love the egg story, at least it ended with some good breakfast!
Also if you've still going baby food jars at your house, I want them I think they would make cute little vases. Just start sending them to Megan's I know she'll love me!
I think we used a chair like this when Emily was little. Is this for therapy or just for fun?
