Vegas Baby!

I just returned from a fun-filled long weekend with my mom and sisters. We even celebrated my birthday while we were there (sorry that Japanese place was such a bomb). We shopped and ate our way through The Strip. My lungs will not miss all of the second-hand smoke or fliers on the street but I will miss my girls - we had the best time!

A highlight for me - besides the amazing pizza and the rollercoaster at the New York New York - was the Chihuly celing at the Bellagio. I have been waiting for years to see it and I was not disappointed. That's my kind of art - public, whimsical, creative and brightly colored.

My older sis really wanted to eat at at least one buffet while we were there - how could we not?! She chose the one at The Paris and man was it yummy. We sat and ate and talked and laughed (hard) for THREE HOURS! And we topped off our dining experience with a tasters table of desserts: made-to-order crepes (3 flavors), Bananas foster, creme brulee, flan, a lemon tart, bread pudding, peanut butter cookies, coconut macaroons, churros, a cream puff, chocolate dipped pistachio biscotti. . . is that everything? Man. We were still full the next morning. . . even though we really just had a taste of everything.
