Going to The Hospital

We knew that Alex would be heading to the hospital soon to get a feeding tube placed but we just found out that it is going to be tomorrow (Friday the 4th)! I have been waiting with great anticipation for this actually because it means more freedom for me and weight gain for Alex! I will finally be able to stop nursing after over 14 months - two of those first months I spent pumping! Stab My Eyes Out!!!! I can hardly wait to stop. It also means that my little guy, who weighs less than 14 lbs. at 14 months, will hopefully get bigger quick. I'll let you know how it goes. I am planning to crochet a scarf while I'm stuck in a hospital room this weekend - thank you to Abby for the instructions on her blog, projectsforyournest.blogspot.com. :)

OY, Adrienne! You're a saint. I could barely nurse for 8 months and then I was pretty much done with the whole thing. Bless you. Have fun making your scarf!!! How relaxing. I want to see pictures when you're done!

You're really amazing. I'll say prayers, of course, and I hope all works out well....you deserve that kind of success from this long, long journey you've gone on with baby alex. I have faith in the person you are, and I know that you are the only person, and the strongest person that can ednure it all....you never cease to amaze me....

I loved "good little mormon girl's" comments. I couldn't have said it better. Hopefully this will fatten this little guy up. You guys never cease to amaze me. I love you!
p.s. You got a new haircut and didn't tell me??? Just kidding. Can't wait to see it.

wow, not we can really see him grow! Sounds a little scary to me, but you're an old pro now. Good luck, with the procedure and the scarf!

I will be thinking about you and Alex tomorrow. He's such a cutie. I understand a little how you must be feeling :) Not that we have dealt with the same thing but other hard things...

Good luck!

Thank you so much to everyone for your well wishes! We truly appreciate it. To try and make a long weekend better, I am stopping in at IKEA before we hit the hospital! We'll catch up after the weekend.
