It's in the Mail

This year in CMH's 2nd grade class he has had to write lots of letters to people or thank you notes - the janitor for "Janitor Appreciation Day," the Principal for "Principal's Day," etc. He came home with a rough draft for yet another letter today - this one to a U.S. Soldier. I got a kick out of his random 2nd grade thoughts and I'm sure the serviceman who gets his note will too.

Dear U.S. Soldier,

How are you? I'm in 2nd grade. We eat lunch. My favorite color is blue. What is your favorite animal? My favorite animal is a whale. We have 25 people in our class! Today I have cold lunch. Do you know the alphabet?

Your Friend,
CMH

That is so cute! (and hilarious!) It's little things like this that make me excited for Mack to keep growing. Thanks for the smile! (BTW...I love Postum, I actually probably drink it an average 3 times a week, call me old fashioned! It's hard to find it now though, where did you get yours?)

Whoever gets his letter will have a smile on his/her face for days. That is so sweet/cute and hilarious.

I wish I could be a fly on the wall when his pen pal receives this cute letter - I'm sure there will smiles. What a great idea his teacher has to teach the class about saying thank you.

Adorable! Reading their work is the best part of sending my kids to school, I think. :)

What a great idea to have the kids write letter of appreciation.

I need to be better at that!
