The "Get-Your-Cake-On-Challenge" has officially ended and I give a huge Thank-ya to anyone who voted. We took home the "voter's favorite" prize for CheeseCake! Yahoo.
Not too shabby for my first fondant cake. There were some awesome cakes in the running and it was so fun to look thorugh the slide show at all of them. Frankly, I just wanted the kitchen of one of the contestants - gorgeous!
The judges prizes went to the Olympic Cake (by my bro! - good job!) for it's technical difficulty on the lettering, etc. and to the Hello Kitty cake also for incredible precision and clean execution. Way to go!
For anyone who is interested, there is a new challenge - haunted gingerbread houses! Sounds fun. Again, go to www.getyourcakeon.blogspot.com for official rules and details. Happy haunting.

I also thought the best pun cake should go to you. Many of my students told me they voted for yours. I loved it!!! And that was before I knew it was yours. What a great contest. I hope you are entering the gingerbread contest. They are very fun to make. Can you top your cheesecake?
Congrats! It was adorable!
Yes! This was my favorite. They were all amazing. Someday I will try one out..... Good job! I can't believe you made that! I need lessons.
Yeah! Congratulations. I didn't know it was yours, but that's the one I voted for. It was just too clever! :)

I voted for you! Congrats! I loved it.
Hi Adrienne!
I went to school with Matt (or should I say Bishop???)and my families (both of them--Hansens & Halterman's) are great friends with the Hintons, so I stop by your fun blog periodically.
I just had to tell you that your cake was adorable! (I voted for it!) So impressive! I'm going to have to try that fondant recipe. I've only ever bought fondant.
I'm considering getting in on the Gingerbread action, but I might need some recipe help. It seems like Gingerbread can be pretty temperamental. Will you share?
Congrats!
Kendra
I thought that might be yours! Congrats! So stinkin' cute! Not only could I not think of something so creative, I couldn't create it if someone gave me the idea. Knowing of your talent, I actually narrowed the entries down to 2 that I thought might be yours. The other was the birthday box, but then I figured the cheese cake was more likely since you said you made it for dessert one night... instead of for a birthday party.
