It's Rodeo Time

Hey Ya all! Every year at rodeo time there is a neat event organized for all of the special needs kids in the area. We go down to the rodeo grounds and they give the children T-shirts, cowboy hats, and bandanas. They take their picture and make it into a button for the proud mommas to wear. We eat pizza and have fun visiting with the Rodeo Queens. Then they take us all out to the arena, in the mud, and the kids get to ride a "bull," rope a steer with a lasso, have stick pony races, pull a ribbon off of a sheep's tail, and ride on real ponies.

AVH is still too little to participate much in the activites but CMH and AAH sure get into the fun. I actually got on the "bull" with Alex and let the guys take us for a ride. This is the picture that Clayton took of us on the bull - sorry you can't see the bull.

After all of the fun is over they let us sit in the best seats in the house and stay for the real rodeo. We always have the best time. If MJH or I knew anything about horses we would definitely have some. Man, I could have married a cowboy - I can totally get into the rodeo scene, if ya know what I mean. Every year I want to come home and watch the movie 8 Seconds.

MJH I love to you pieces! And I really can't imagine you wearing Wranglers.

Looks like so much fun. We were sorry to miss all the 4th of july activities in Prescott. Next year we will have to hit the rodeo.

I love the pics! Your kids are so cute. I wish I could hug them more! :) You look great and those pancakes look divine. I am so hungry just looking at them!
